Flat Stanley is traveling this weekend. He came with my sisters and I to Arizona for my nephew's school project. Here's what he has been doing so far:
This is Stanley watching my sister's shoes and purse. He is now radioactive.
Stanley doesn't know which gate he should take.
He went to a picture of Arches. Stanley gets around.
Captain America posing with his new best friend, Stanley. Don't you feel confident with a captain that looks like this? Surprisingly, his singing over the intercom system did not have the same effect.Stanley did not get a first class seat.
Stanley and I were disturbed by the state of my sister's Barbie house. First of all, all them were clothed. Secondly, none of them had been decapitated.
It's just wrong.
Fortunately, Barbie on the right is an amputee. Stanley got a little too comfortable here.
So we went downstairs to see Ken. Ken had a party last night and fell asleep partially clothed and hadn't picked up the lamp. Stanley was feeling uncomfortable so he continued down to the kitchen.
Malibu Barbie didn't know how to cook but she was sitting nicely at the table, posing for a picture so Stanley sat with her.
Overall, his trip to Barbie's house was disturbing and he left quickly. Stanley will keep you apprised of his trip.
Very cute! I feel like my Snuggie has become my Flat Stanley.
ReplyDeleteI love a good flat Stanley
ReplyDeleteI haven't thought of Flat Stanley since the girls were young! I love Flat Stanley!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least there wasn't any of that "naked running" at Barbie's house:)
ReplyDeleteThere is absolutely nothing wrong with naked running Barbies or Nancys or even Annes. It is what it is. Now go take inventory in YOUR house. How many clothed vs. unclothed Barbies do you have? How many don't have heads vs. have heads?
ReplyDeleteI'm the same age as you dear, should I know who Flat Stanley is? Clearly we ran in different circles. Is he Utah Mormon thing? Us Michigan Momrmons didn't keep up on the culture too well. I can see your fascination though. If you look at him from the side, he looks a lot like me.
ReplyDeleteI do recall my three sister's collections of headless naked barbies though. That's universal.
Checked the house--I could only find one Barbie out--fully clothed. Sorry to disappoint. And Scott, "Flat Stanley" was written after you and I were in school. I think every kid in every state is required to send one around the world.
ReplyDeleteWhen I got home Nancy explained. Kind of a fun idea. Not as fun as something like Round Randy would be, but hey, whatever.
ReplyDeleteHe could bounce all over the world!
This is fun and entertaining. If only I could be so creative when traveling. I should make these things instead of travel games. I'm sensing it's time for a change.
ReplyDeleteMy daughters take pictures of them doing cartwheels everywhere they travel. My favorite one is them cartwheeling in front of the TV Tower in Shanghai.
ReplyDeleteOh I love it! Flat Stanley's sure getting around, isn't he? ;)
ReplyDeleteWW: Peanut-Nut
fun!
ReplyDeleteAll the Barbies at our house are a bit exhibitionist...
